Bill Kennedy Landscape began in 2000 as a means to pay for college at Oklahoma City University, School of Law, J.D. and University of Texas at Dallas, B.A., Interdisciplinary Studies (2003). Bill achieved his boyhood goal of becoming an attorney in 2007. Bill worked toward his goal by knocking on doors to sell lawn and cleanup services. It wasn’t long before his clients took notice. Bill has an eye for details and a strong work ethic. Clients began to ask about updating flower beds, installing gardens, providing irrigation repairs, landscape designs, outdoor kitchens, patios, renovation projects, shade structures and stonework.
Bill realized early on the landscape business is more than a guy with a mower in a pick-up truck! His clients all had a need for knowledgeable, talented people that are trained in construction, horticulture, irrigation, landscape and stonework. Bill has developed a team of committed employees to carry out BKL’s work for design/build, maintenance and installation projects. Even though Bill is not part of the day to day operations at BKL, he still plays a key role in the direction of BKL. The key to BKL’s continued success is employees who deliver BKL services with enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to a job well done. Employees who are proud to be associated with a business whose goal is to enhance the environment we all share.
Today BKL employs a horticulturalist, certified licensed irrigators, certified irrigation auditors, EPA WaterSense Partners, and a landscape designer who will communicate their knowledge for the benefit of our clients. BKL sees the value in water conservation through irrigation management, landscape design, turf management, and landscape construction for our clients. A well-designed landscape can decrease maintenance by 50 percent through reduced mowing, mulching, elimination of weak and non-adaptive plants and efficient watering techniques. BKL is commited to water conservation through the latest trends in sustainable landscape design, smart water technology and the latest in irrigation conservation products, scheduling, irrigation audits, incorporating low water use, reduced turf areas and native plants into BKL landscape designs.
BKL service teams receive regular safety training and turf management instruction benefiting our clients both large and small. Training in horticulture management programs enhance the service teams’ ability to deliver top quality services and keeps the teams competitive. BKL team leaders earn certification from training though the International Society of Arboriculture and TNLA. BKL licensed horticulture spray applicators, irrigators and pest applicators all work to stay current with the latest threat to plants and turf and updated IPM practices by attending seminars and other classes related to the green industry.
Bill Kennedy Landscape prides itself as a full service landscape solution from design, installation, and irrigation to on-going property maintenance – a combination of all landscape elements for both the commercial and residential client.
